Jouir and venir are the words I’ve always heard to describe this. ---

We British (who use the language of Shakespeare, Wordsworth and Dickens)have more than just **one** way of expressing ourselves in **any** situation. Apart from “I’m coming”: Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Praise God! Was that all right for you? Good night, dearest. Would you like a cup of tea? Are you awake? Could we do that again? (next Tuesday) As it happens, I have some experience in the field… I did this once. In 1962. For 20 minutes. 🆒 ---
