She was not filibustering because the bill banned late term abortions (or at least that is not why she is famous for filibustering that bill. SHe is famous for filibustering a bill that would have placed regulatory requirements on abortion clinics that would have driven almost all of them out of business (hospital style surgical theaters AND admitting privileges at a nearby hospital). ---
