# I'm confused!

I tried clicking a link in Cafe S., and was given this message:

If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
I wasn’t trying to post or edit, merely see the link. FWIW, it had been moved.

That message usually means the thread has been wished into the cornfield by a mod, probably because it was started by a sock puppet.

The thread was spam. It was originally posted in Cafe Society and moved to IMHO, then it was determined to be spam and moved to one of the mod forums. Because it was moved from one forum to another before it got disappeared, there was a redirect, but because it’s now in one of the mod-only forums, you can’t view it. I deleted the redirect so nobody else gets confused.

I can’t take credit for that one. **samclem** killed it. And two other mods moved it; not all spam is equally obvious.

Yeah, but I was flying out the door going to work and left a link which should have been disappeared. I’ll try to do better.
