They’re so cheap now! This one was under $400 and had a $100 rebate in addition. My current laser printer (monochrome) stopped working properly when I upgraded to WinXP, and the print speed is insanely slow. Stupid NEC got out of the printer business and stopped updating their drivers, so I finally decided to upgrade. Since color laser printers have come down in price, I decided to go for it. I’m so excited! ---

And I have no idea why this is in IMHO. My perfect 3.5 year record of never needing a thread moved has been broken. If someone would kindly report my post and request to have this moved to MPSIMS, I would appreciate it. ---

But I’ve had good luck buying refill toner for my current printer, so my plan is to do the same with this one, at least with the black. I’ve refilled one drum about four times, and it’s just now starting to show signs of streaking. ---

Be very careful about the cost of using your colour laser, especially for pure black and white prints. We have colour lasers at work and they cost a lot more when printing, even if you push out a blank sheet.
