Maybe I am just a tightwad, but I don’t care how much dirt it sucks up, I am not paying $500 for a vacuum cleaner. Not going to do it. My rule? Just don’t spill much fucking shit on the carpet, take your shoes off at the door, eat at the table. I hate vacuuming (well, I hate cleaning the house in general). We ended up putting laminate flooring down (best move ever) and now I feel that the floor is truly clean after we sweep it up…

Well, y’know, everyone has their budgeting priorities. But to me, I don’t think it’s very expensive in the long run. We had a Dirt Devil that we paid $180.00 for that ended up needing new belts and filters every 18 months, at $70.00 a shot. If the Dyson truly has lifetime filters, and better belts that it’s easier for us to replace ourselves, the price should level out over time. See what I mean? Still, if you don’t think any vacuum is worth that kind of money, then don’t buy one.
