I haven’t seen the pop-up in a week. Maybe it’s been fixed?
What exactly did you see? The problem most people were reporting earlier was a login dialog box for a restricted area on Rubicon Project, our ad broker. PlainJain provided this screen shot:
We’re still inquiring, but chances are some Rubicon tech person was doing something on the ad server and briefly left the back door open. Kaiser Permanente is an advertiser, making me think you’re seeing a different problem. Pls advise.
To summarize the info we need to investigate these things:

Screen shot if possible - in Windows this can be done by pressing Alt-Print Screen. You can either post the screen shot online as PlainJain did or paste it into a Word doc and e-mail it to tubadiva at aol dot com.

Time, date, computer type (PC, Mac, etc.), operating system, browser type/version.

Rubicon has informed us they were doing some work in late June and didn’t get things buttoned up properly, with the result that some users saw a login dialog box. The problem was fixed in fairly short order. They apologize for the inconvenience, as do we. The screen shot provided by PlainJain was quite helpful in identifying the problem, so thanks for that. Next time something of this sort arises, make a screen shot before you do anything else - this will greatly speed resolution of the issue.
