# I'm getting laid off

My supervisor called about an hour ago and told me I’m getting laid off tomorrow. I’m not too upset over this…the company I work(ed) for was very quickly going down the drain so this lay off was expected. I don’t look forward to finding a new job considering what the market is like these days, but at least my severence pay will keep me going for a few months.
Hey, the nice thing about this is that I’ll have more time to spend here 🙂 . 0.01 posts a day is pitiful!

Sorry to hear you’re getting laid-off, Convict. But on the other hand, at least **you’re** getting severance pay. My last “parting gift” was a printer–a very nice printer, to be sure—but not a real means of support.

Good luck. I got laid off about 1.5 years ago, and have been steadily temping every since. Not bad, but dull.

I’m also sorry to hear that, Convict. But, you seem to have a great attitude and I’m sure when it’s all said and done, you’ll land squarely on your feet. And, probably with a much better job!

That is so wrong. It is always the convicts that are first to go. Hey, you paid your debt to society, why must they always single you out?🙂

That’s sucky that you were laid off, but it’s great you have such a good attitude about it. I got laid off a few months ago for a little while as well, and it did in fact get my post count up from 0.00 to 0.01 posts per day. Baby steps.
