What I find most pathetic about Esprix’s posts is screwing seems to be the only way he defines himself. You forgot to mention Judy Garland, **Coldfire**. While I share **PharmBoy** ’s misgivings about promiscuity (from either side of the fence), **Esprix** ’s a big boy [sub]or so we’ve heard[/sub] and presumably knows the risks involved. And **Esprix**? “Too much” for what? 😉 ---

Pharm was wrong if he was strictly indicating _only_ gay men were at risk. I personally think it is foolish for \*\*anyone \*\* gay or straight to have multiple sex partners (safe or unsafe). I am not necessarily supporting or disagreeing with Pharm’s views; I just think he may have been misquoted out of context. He said _gay men_ because the thread was about the promiscuous activities of a gay man. Did he mean specifically gays _only_? Hard to say. I give him the benefit of the doubt because of the nature of this particular thread. \Isn’t this whole PC craze because of some people assume a slight or slam in any and every situation, when it wasn’t necessarily intended, in which every little stance/instance/example isn’t spelled out in excrutiating detail? I am not necessarily saying this was the case with Esprix/ColdFire (Ok, so maybe I am a little 🙂 \ My view? ‘who gives a f\*\*\*’ is a bit silly, considering we have all viewed and some have posted replies – obviously we are interested enought to read on 🙂 And yes, AIDS is a danger for gay men (and of course straight men and women), regardless of whether or not it is a (greater or lesser) risk for others with different sexual bents. I assume Esprix does understand the risks involved _to himself_, even with protected sex, but doesn’t that mean he is still in danger of being infected and then _passing it on_? I will honestly admit that I am somewhat behind (I think) on the latest AIDS information, so maybe I am missing something really, really big and important. Please correct me if I am wrong on this. Anyway, **Coldfire** , I don’t think his second statement would be cause to ban him. And I also respectfully submit that indicating you are not going to listen to any of his explanations or replies goes against the nature of SDMB. Perhaps this thread is not the place for it, but he should have (within reason) a chance to be heard. Let me (restate) that at this point I am neither supporting nor disagreeing with Pharm’s post in total. I just think ColdFire’s response was a bit extreme, unless the beef is that this was not the appropriate forum.
