I respect the impulse that makes people say they would want to go and see it for themselves, but I think that if you did take the trip, you’d spend most of your hour doing some combination of screaming, crying, and vomiting. It wouldn’t be much of a walking tour. ---

I don’t think there are many of these back in time (but invulnerable) scenarios that I’d take a pass on. This particular one is pretty unappealing, but it’s still a chance to view history in person. I’d go. ---
