I’m going to HANOI, YAY. The Vietnamese Govt finally opened the borders (officially yesterday, but only issuing visas from today). So flying out from Aus via Singapore on 01/04. Damn, I’ve been so excited, but the Viet Govt was lagging her feet on the rules and regulations…but I can finally get my shit together and get there. I’ve been to Vietnam 4 times before, but never to Hanoi, which I am very excited to visit. Unfortunately it will be much cooler there than my home-clime, so will have to find some jeans and hoodies (25c vs 33c). I might FREEZE otherwise. LOL ---

3 years ago I spent time in the factory area outside of Hanoi. I managed to get a half a day in Hanoi proper. It was really nice to walk around. I started from the Metropole, to the Hanoi Hilton and around that area. Just a nice wander in a new Asian city. Enjoy ---

We really want to visit family in Malaysia in June, but SE Asia (and parts of E Asia) is the one region of the world currently experiencing a rise in COVID. Are you sure there aren’t burdensome quarantine rules, etc. being put in place? I don’t mean to rain on your parade. I really hope you can go! (It does seem you might just about slip into a no-restriction time window in early April. Awesome. I hope you have a great time).
