My knowledge is fairly limited, and based on places that Bonzer and I have been to. The Kerala South Indian place we went to was really nice, and not hideously expensive, ISTR. Then, there’s always places like La Tasca (chain tapas), there are various not too expensive sushi places, and probably other options that my brain can’t remember right now. I’ll prod Bonzer to post some more ideas.
Oh come on, you guys couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery. It’s LONDON. Take him out for a greasy pub meal or a cheap curry, hunker down at someone’s local downing pints of bad Australian lager, then when you’re so pished you can barely stand, pile in a cab and head to Popstarz or G-A-Y or whatever is closest and help him perv on some local talent.

Seriously though, if we want to go practically anywhere to eat on Friday night, that’s not a cheap curry, we will have to book.
As far as pubs serving food go, the Silver Cross is rather good, isn’t hideously expensive, and does decent food. Unfortunately, its likely to be packed full of tourists. I’m going to suggest that we go for what we know – the Kerala for food?
But we’ve been there really recently. Anyway, shouldn’t we let our guest decide?

Likewise. I thought Friday had been agreed, and Friday’s the only day I can make it down to London. No Thursday nights in London for me this weekend – need to do a poster for our National Conference next week.

Right, we have a plan. Jennyrosity’s booked a table for us at the Kerala for 8, but people will be congregating in the nearby Fitzroy Tavern from about half 6ish for beer, drinks, and general socialising.
I may join you at the pub, or at the restaurant – I have to finish a poster for a conference next week, and so that being finalised and printed out will depend on when I leave Birmingham, and so decide whether I get to the pub in time. See you on Friday!
