Last year, admission for Pleasure Island on NYE was ~$85 + tax, which is kinda high for what is basically a cover charge on some run-of-the-mill clubs. I would prefer Epcot (but I’m a huge dork) or MGM for New Year’s Eve.
As to other options in Orlando, I’m sure there are some (I hear it’s something of a tourist town ), but I’m not really familiar with them. We have more than one Orlando-area Doper who might drop by with some ideas.
Well, it’s no Times Square, but I’m sure you could find lots of parties. Church Street Station used to be THE place, but I’m not sure if that’s still the case.
Universal Citywalk might be a place to check out too.
Here are a few sites to check out. I’ll give it some more thought and check back later. Visit Florida Sea World Around Central Florida St Augustine
Plus, check for the Kennedy Space Center site. Daytona Beach has some good spots. Looking for resturants too?
I’ll come back with more later.

Does PI do anything different on NYE than they do any other year? If not I can fogo bneing there on 12/31 and go on 12/30. I’m looking for something memorable to do with my new GF.
Ivylass:
I remember Church Street Station from when I was younger and the family went to Fla. That has the big Ferris Wheel outside right? I will have to se what they have going on for NYE
Nic2004:
I will check out those sites when I get home
I don’t believe that Church Street Station has a Ferris wheel. Given where it’s located (downtown) and the market it aims for, I’d be very surprised that it would.
You may be thinking of Old Town (which sucks, BTW) in Kissimmee.
PI on NYE adds some live music and a parade (I think) to the mix, and it also requires you to be 21+ (unlike the rest of the time, which is 18+). If you like clubbing, you’ll like it; I don’t, so I don’t really go there. I feel like I live part-time in the other WDW parks, though. Grew up Disney like a lot of us in the area.
