I’m going to the Chattacon Science fiction convention for Friday-Sunday of this week. This entails going up (& worse, going _down_) Lookout Mountain, in this snowy weather. But, **I’m goin’, period!** So, if I don’t post by Monday, make a charitable donation to the Rutherford County Public Library here in Murfreesboro, in lieu of flowers. ---

My dad fell asleep while he was driving down Monteagle Mountain. He woke up the next day in the hospital, not badly hurt, but they told him there wasn’t enough of his car to keep. ☹ ---

**Taran** , PARSEC, Pittsburgh’s SF fan club holds a convention called Confluence every year, usually the third weekend in July. Around the same time there’s also a major SCA event over in St. Swithin’s Bog, but the two tend to be different weekends. I’ll almost definitely by at Confluence this year and I should be able to introduce you to a couple of speakers. I also met three of my closest friends there. **Bosda** , I’m sorry you had such a rotten time. It wasn’t a con run by Creation, was it? CJ
