I’ve fallen in love with a pair of boots. They’re so beautiful. They’ve got this buckle round the back of the heel that I can’t get out of my head. The trouble is, the heel’s are almost 4" tall. If I wear these boots, I’ll be nearly 6’2"…and that’s tall for a girl. I wish I could get it out of my head that the tall thing makes me freaky… I figure I’m 5’10 already, what difference will 4" make? Its bigger than the boots…there’s so many beautiful shoes I want to wear, that I’m constantly passing by. I’m sick of wearing flats! I want to wear those pretty heels with the ribbons that tie up the ankles, dammit. But I feel like 5’10" is a flaw that I need to downplay. This is so silly. My boyfriend loves my height, all these fashion magazines say that height is good. Help me out here, tall dopers. Give me some encouragement to wear these boots! Or at least commiserate… ---

You’ll definitely get a few stares from passersby (lust, envy, appreciation, thoughts of “Good lord! How far up do those legs _GO_… and can I be both Lewis and Clark to find out?”–but somehow I think you occasionally get appreciative thoughts sent your direction, anyway) in this here metro area of ours, but I’m of the mind that you should do it. I mean, it’s not like you’re [this gal](http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/graphics/tw003.jpg). 😉 Besides, **auntie em** would consider it a sin to pass up boots for which you’ve fallen. I swear that woman will eventually _leave_ me for a pair of boots that she’ll find on E-Bay for $20. ---

What’s wrong with being six foot two tall? Being six foot four, I’d love to go dancing with a girl that tall. It makes all the manoeuvers so much easier if the partners are matched in height. Of course, 20 years ago, when I took lessons, they invariably paired me with the smallest lady. This was **not** good. ---

**ouisey** you’re legs are how long? That’s a **good** thing… 😉 I can’t speak for everyman but 6’2" wouldn’t intimidate me and I’m but 5’9" w/out my boots. I wouldn’t worry about what folks think too much. There’s gonna be someone with a problem no matter what you wear or how you dress. If you like 'em I say go for it. People used to give me hell about about my apparel quite often, not so much anymore since I cut my hair. (I like leather, vests, boots, chaps sometimes…) A tall attractive woman with long legs wearing boots is a wonderful sight. Do what you want to do. ---

I am a 5’11" female and I say get the boots. There is one caveat though, if you ALWAYS wear flats you are going to find 4" boots to be very painful. I can’t bring myself to buy flats, they are too often FUGLY and if I am going to wear FUGLY shoes, I’d rather wear my Addidas. Since in heels I measure in at 6’1 and up depending on the shoes, I’ve given up on caring who is shorter than me and who isn’t. Guys that are intimidated by the fact that you are wearing heels aren’t worth keeping around anyway. 😉 ---

Wear 'em! Wear 'em! But, be careful of your ankles! I sprained mine right before New Year’s and have been stuck in flats and tennies ever since. Who would have thought a big chunky heel would turn like that, but it did… ---

I’m 5’10" and have an obsession with four inch platforms (can’t deal with heels though) and I’ve found nothing but positive feedback when I’ve worn them. Just strut like the goddess you are and don’t break an ankle wearing the things. Besides, people are stupid so it’s funny when people you know look all confused when you’re wearing “tall shoes” because they can’t figure out why you’re taller than usual. This only seems to happen to tall people by the way. ---

I’m a 6’ tall woman, and if I wanted the boots, I’d get them; height is not an issue. (My issue is that I’m just not comfortable walking in heels.) Get them!!! ---

I’m a 5’7" woman and I wouldn’t mind being even taller. I wore heels all the time when I was younger, even though hubby is 5’6" (and he didn’t mind). The only reason I don’t wear them anymore is foot problems (not related to wearing heels! I didn’t wear them that often). I say don’t let height be an issue. Be striking! ---

(a) I would kill to be your height. (I’m a mere 5’8") and (b) get the shoes, you’ll look amazing in them. Your height does not make you look freaky (though, trying to hide your height might.), it’s you. Enjoy it. Show off! Buy this pair of boots, and walk around in them knowing how great you’ll look. ---

Get the shoes. I had an ex who was 6’2" (I’m 5’11"), and she loved to wear high shoes to get even taller. I liked it 🙂 ---

Eh, go for it. I can’t wear heels for valid medical reasons – it’s DAMN HARD to find flats in a size 5 1/2 or 6 for some reason – and I wouldn’t mind being able to wear at least low ones because I’m awfully short. I don’t think I’d go for four-inch heels myself (owie, my feet!), but if you love the boots, I say buy them. Enjoy them. Loom over the rest of us. 🙂 ---

As a fellow tall woman, I say BUY THE BOOTS! I am 5’11. My tallest shoes have put me well near the 6 1/2 ft. height. Tall chicks rock. 🙂 I used to feel the same way, and I can almost guarantee you, some shorter girl is going to say “Oh, you’re so tall already, you don’t need those!” but I realized that there was a whole world of nifty shoes out there just longing to be be put on my feet, so I gave in.
