There’s now a “Straight Dope Light” theme that looks closer to what we had at the original site. There’s also a corresponding “Straight Dope Dark” theme. ---

But consider Sam’s Simple theme as well. The thread list page is less cluttered, and it includes the plain text user name of the OP and the user who made the most recent post. ---

I still prefer the posts to not be all floaty. I like them being boxed in, so even though I appreciate the effort of a SD theme, it’s not quite enough yet to make me change to it, and I’ll stick with the Material Design Theme for now. Let me know if the SD themes change it up or they add more. Maybe there’s a repository of them someplace and I can recommend one or two. I’m sure they’ll listen to me, I’m important, right? Right? Sure I am. ---

I’ve been using Dark, so I just tried Straight Dope Dark. The only difference is the page header, with its blue background and “it’s taking longer than we thought” tag line. ---

I’m embarrassed to admit that I had absolutely no idea this change was coming. One day I tried to log in and “this page no longer exists”. No clue what my email was when I first joined, 20 yrs ago, or whenever it was. Mods: I used to be plain old WOOKINPANUB.
