I think I’m going to have to practice a bit more with multi-quoting. Nice to see so many familiar faces, especially @thorny_locust ---

Hi, @Die_Capacitrix! Good to see you too! (I think @ name is supposed to do something here, but am not sure quite what.) ---

> [@thorny\_locust](#): > > (I think @ name is supposed to do something here, but am not sure quite what.) I think this is why I had a yellow 1 over my own avatar in the upper right corner. Now that I clicked on my own avatar and saw that somebody @ me, the one went away. Or is it for a badge? No matter. Still enjoying the company. ---

> [@thorny\_locust](#): > > (I think @ name is supposed to do something here, but am not sure quite what.) It means that @thorny_locust will get a notification that @eschereal mentioned them in a post (I shall see if I get one for mentioning myself). I believe you can disable that notification in Preferences. ---

I also got a badge! For First Mention! Wow! (do we have a rolleyes smiley here? – the rolleyes not for eschereal, of course; but for this badge system.) And no, you can’t disable the notifications. You can hide them in preferences; but you’ll keep right on getting them at your avatar, whatever you do. ---
