Well …on my counter is tomatoes. On my deck rail is tomatoes. I count about 60. Son-of-a-wrek is out picking peas with the kids. Gonna be a hot stinky mess when they’re done. He picked a bushel and a peck Saturday. Mid-dau’s been Pea-ing all day. She made vegetable soup. She cooked some tomatoes into sauce. I felt bad and made cornbread for her. We still have squash(good grief that stuff won’t quit making) Cucumbers. Yep, we know how they work. They tease you with the first few. You just can’t wait for those first ones. Then the next day or two you have a 1000. Pickles it is. Looks like. Arrgghh! ---

When I have perfect cucumbers and tomatoes I make Gazpacho. And I make refrigerator pickles from cucumbers and onions. ---

I second this, but use Greek yogurt in place of sour cream. ---

Yep, I spend hours forcing tomatoes through a chinois. But the texture is like velvet!
