How’s a Euro convert to the dollar?
The Roomba retails for $200. It’s been on sale for months, maybe a year by now.
Sure, a little motorized bathroom scale can run about and suck up floor level soil,but what about the ceiling level webs, dust on the furnishings, and so forth?
I’m a Rainbow fan, having bought one over 20 years ago-still running-needed only minor repairs over the years.
Does anyone else recall the episode from Rocko’s Modern Life when he bought a Suck O Matic from a telemarketer?

Wow, that Roomba does seem like a very similar device for a lot less. Wonder what makes the Electrolux so special?
One difference I see is the navigation system. Yours has the sonar thing – the Roomba just turns in a new direction when it hits something.

And I note that since the comment in 2003 the Roomba is available with a mapping system that learns the room layout, it doesn’t just turn when it hits something. Ours doesn’t but it does run from your smart phone. It needs an onboard camera to send real time video of your house as it sweeps.
I like the way ours always gets stuck as it tries to go under one recliner chair. The chair rocks up and traps it and it stops and the onboard lady calls out pitifully for help.

Likely a spammer. Looks like revived threads don’t sink back into the primordial ooze like on the old board.
I was wondering about that; on the old board, as soon as a spam post was removed, the thread listing was re-sorted and the thread dropped down. Now the threads remain on the front page, even though no activity is shown for years. Is this changeable?
I’m going to close this. No use promoting something from a 17 year old thread.
