Nope- they like cozy hiding places like under the bed, or under the couch in my living room. The Neville kitties are very friendly and seem to be well-adjusted, but they still like to get under the bed and under the couch sometimes. ---

Under the bed or behind the sofa is a great place to Lurk. We usually have a corrugated fiberboard (cardboard to all you folks who didn’t grow up with fathers who made the stuff) box around the house, so that the cats can sit in it and be happy. Get yourself a box, or better yet, a cat carrier, and set it up so that he can get in and out of it easily. He’ll feel very cozy. Apparently, he’s happy with you, and likes your company, especially at 5 AM. Two of our cats always argue with a squirrel outside the window in the early mornings, so I feel your pain. ---

The best name I ever had for a cat was Spot, who, took over a neighborhood, bringing his friends into the house for parties, up to a dozen sometimes, became, Downtown Spot Brown to all the neighbors. (Brown was my last name then) Or maybe it was that he was the coolest cat ever, so he name remains a legend. 🆒 I agree, that getting a gently used cat, rather than a brand new one is better. After all, the animal shelter is just a used kitty store. ---
