# I'm looking for websites/advice that would help someone start a small business?

Simply, I am looking for websites that would help someone start a small business. Kind of like a how-to type website with info on obtaining small business loans, or grants and info on good legitimate ideas on what people are doing to start their own business.

Basically, I have a friend who doesn’t want to work for “ **The Man** ” anymore and would like ot start a small business. He’s worked most of his life in the finance realm, and would like to shave off and work for himself.

Any Ideas?

In the US at least, you might start with the [Small Business Administration](http://www.sba.gov/).
