Seriously, some of it comes from emulating Cecil, patron saint of Curmudgeons. Personally, I like it. You can get good answers or debate from smart people AND some smartass humor. And inside jokes and references are what make it a community. If you just want a serious answer, try to blip over the smartass and dumbass replies and interact with the people who are actually trying to be helpful. ---
