For me the hardest part to believe is that there were five empty rows, no issues with the view from there, and a late comer wanted to sit in the middle of a row. Interestingly an acquaintance had a similar issue at a concert. When going out at intermission they had to pass by the person they did not move for. They refused to let them by. It escalated and the police made arrests. Not a close enough acquaintance that I have a final disposition. ---

Since there were five wide-open rows ahead of the OP, it was gauche of the interloping couple to demand that she move around in her row. Combine this with the fact that the movie had already started, and you have what amounts to a flagrant tipoff that the people making the “request” are total buttholes and don’t deserve the courtesy one would normally afford a stranger. Yes, you have taken a very silly position, perhaps in keeping with this Socratic thing that you’ve been on about lately. Nevertheless, you’ve conducted yourself with aplomb and have not felt the need to shout vulgarities at people who merely disagree with you. Finally, while verbal abuse is mostly allowed in this forum, yelling at people for no reason makes you look like a lunatic here just as much as it does anywhere else.
