I was downtown with the wife and daughter today doing some shopping and generally milling about. We thought we’d swing in and get the daughter a bus pass. There is a place that has an information booth, a public transportation counter and a few other odds and ends in the center of town. As we were leaving a woman behind the information counter got up and started shouting “excuse me,. EXCUSE ME!” She darted right over to me. “Excuse me… Oh my god… Hello.” “Hi.” I said. “From back there I thought,. I mean,. you look just like someone.” I raise an eyebrow at her. “You look just like that one actor, umm,. of course I can’t remember his name right now. He’s the one that threw the phone at that guy.” My wife says “Russell Crowe??” “YES! You look just like him.” Then she calls to a co-worker “Doesn’t he look just like Russell Crowe??” This went on for a minute or so before she calmed down. I was flattered I suppose. Russell Crowe isn’t a bad looking chap. But at the end of it all I think I just wanted to throw a phone at her. ---
