This is what I think caused the confusion.

Vega$ is not a continuation of Spencer for Hire. Robert Urich is playing a completely different character, plus he was younger in that one.  
That was A Man Called Hawk, not Hawk from the second season of Buck Rogers.  
See? People often get Robert Urich and Gil Gerad mixed-up.

That is very easy not to remember. In fact I have no memory of those at all, never having watched any of them.
