While married my tastes were otherwise stunted, mostly noticing women in their teens and twenties, like when I was shopping in the '70s. Today I realized how fricking gorgeous a woman in her 40s, 50s, or 60s can be. And, FTR, Mrs Robinson was actually only a couple years older than Dustin Hoffman. ---

Go to the store with opened eyes, and look around. See that guy in tight blue jeans, checking the calories in yogurt? Waste a second and count his wrinkles. Wrinkles can be cute. Yeah, his Harley tee-shirt is stupid, but he might be otherwise interesting. And you’re new to the game, and haven’t seen it. ---

And the Law of Seven can be your pal as you transition. Take your age, divide it by two, then add seven. For me that’s 38.5, a woman who really is barely on the edge of appropriate, or even interesting. ---

Okay, fair enough. You’re new and don’t know. I’m 63 and after 40+ years of being together mine goodwife died. She was incredible, but I find myself seeking a possible substitute. I don’t expect anyone as incredible, as I punched above my weight the first time, but I seek someone who can make some of the same references. Wife was Snark Queen of the Universe. I would settle for a Princess, though hot appropriately aged women have a head start. With a definition of “hot” that is realistic. ---

women are aging better these days, actually men too. We’re all aging longer too. Better health. Have you not looked at a your grandparents at age 60 in a picture?
