# I'm Old.

When I was a lass (c. 1983), we had to walk five miles through the snow to type our papers on a MAINFRAME! Boy, all those PASCAL classes sure come in handy now.

**nitroglycerine,** at least you and your ex-stepdaughter can enjoy Patti Smith together. (She’s still punk, right?)

I just got carded today. Seems to me that people aren’t very observant.

I had the priveledge of shooting Patti Smith’s only WebCast a few years ago, at the Bowery Ballroom. I didn’t know much about her stuff before the show, but…

OH  
MY  
GOSH.

Some people bandy the word ‘poet’ around. She’s got it tattoo’ed inside her soul. Amazing stuff…

She was great, but I always wish she would have made some MC5 sytle punk rock with her late husband Fred Smith.
