The only foundation I’ve ever used is a pale, slate grey, usually mixed with some sand, cinder, and some cement. Makes for a decent block foundation on which to lay some sill plate. Excavation dependent on the soil I’m working with . . . Myself, however, I tend to sport the “farmers tan”. Sure, I look good when I’m wearing clothes, but when I go to the beach, most people are advised to wear welding glasses (I’m so pale, I gleam that much). My friends call me “Casper the Snarky Ghost”. The parts of me that never see the sun are glaringly pale. I burn easily and never tan ever. Typical redhead. The funny part is I’m a quarter Cherokee, yet paler than anyone in my family. Recessive genes, please check in… ---

I’m Finnish, so that partly explains it, but my brother and I are the only pale ones in the family. ---

I had to go to the tanning salon for two weeks before my wedding just to pinken up ever so slightly. That way, I could tell the difference between my skin and my wedding gown. No, No!! My dress doesn’t have long sleeves and a high collar, that’s just my skin tone, thank you very much!! The day after my wedding, I was back to being colorless. But that’s O.K.
