Not only did I mute your paid political message, I also muted the news cast when the subject of the election came up, I turned down the radio when the latest report concerning the election came on, and I skipped straight to the comics when I opened the newspaper. I haven’t read Time or Newsweek in months, I’ve skipped the articles about Kerry and Bush in Vanity Fair, and I’m expecting an election-related piece in Hustler any day now. Please, in the name of all that is holy, let one of the candidates just drop out and save us another week of this hell. And for the record, I enjoy politics and civic affairs…I’ve just reached my limit. ---

Seems kinda pointless to beg for an early end to this stuff with only a week to go. I say ‘only a week to go’ hoping the election ends on Election Night as opposed to, say, dragging out for 36 days afterward… ---

I am pretty much boycotting all local TV until this is over. Battleground state or not, I can’t stand any more of GWB destroying Social Security and Our Children’s Futures, not to mention Osama bin Kerry, tormentor of POWs. I just want to vote, get it over with and let the lawyers have at it. ---

Thank God that California’s not a swing state. The only annoying ads I have to deal with are a local State Senate race. ---

I get the presidential ones, a senate race, four different congressional districts (would be five, but the one I actually live in is a safe seat), three state referenda, and two metro area questions. What are the TV/radio stations going to do for money after this is over? ---

God, I’m so there, too. I’m so burnt out on politics that I want **both** of those bastards to lose. I’d be happy as a clam if the nation was run by dart toss for the next four years. Every time the subject comes up now in any context, I just plug my ears and yell “lalalalalalalala” until it goes away. ---
