When I was 31, I had a surprise! pregnancy. Prior to that time, I’d always believed that I’d just die if I ever had an accidental pregnancy. Yes, things change. But it IS doable and even involves some wonderful experiences, it’s life-changing, but NOT life ruining. Chin up, and congratulations! ---

**Mint Julep** you might also find yourself feeling a bit weird around the time the baby would have been due, even just in a philosophical “what if…” kind of way. Maybe think about booking a trip/spa or something to treat yourself in 7-ish months time? ---

We thought we were being safe enough with me on the pill, and for over 10 years that worked fine. But given this accident, we are discussing a more permanent option. Maybe this solidified any doubts we ever had about our choice to not have kids. We are safe regardless for the time being. I have felt pretty crappy for days now. I stayed on the couch all weekend and I am contemplating taking a sick day and going home after I complete my mandatory work tasks. I feel quite nauseated and like I may be coming down with something. ---
