More reports from the liquor crisis front! 😉 Today’s delivery was just rum, since my greedy order for jumbo vodka bottles was out of stock. In fact I was pretty sure it wouldn’t even arrive today, but it did, sometime around 6:30. Anyway, it was delivered by Jerry Seinfeld’s Uncle Leo. 😃 Or maybe that’s just my impression from too much binge-watching _Seinfeld_, but it sure looked like him. When I said I was expecting it might not even be delivered today because I was told orders in this area are generally delivered between 2 and 4pm, Uncle Leo said there was no firm schedule. But what I really expected Uncle Leo to say was “Jerry! How good to see ya! There’s no schedule, but did you hear about your cousin Jeffrey and his promotion in the Parks Department?” ---

My own rant: My doctor left the group practice where I’d been seeing her for a few years. Another doctor is inheriting me. I was supposed to have blood work, ordered by the former doctor. That appointment was today. I showed up, and they looked blank. “What were you supposed to have?”. I told them. 40 minutes later, when I asked, they finally admitted that there was no order put in by the former doctor, and they couldn’t get hold of the new one. Thanks for wasting my time! At that point, I said “Nope. I’ll get it done when I see the new doctor in 3 weeks”. They tried persuading me to stay. I declined. ---

Where I am most of the cop cars sitting at road construction areas are unmanned. They drop the car off, leave it idling with the flashy lights on, and that cop is picked up by another to go do something useful in a different vehicle. ---

He’d gotten a hospital-acquired infection after the surgery, had been very ill and had lost a lot of weight. I took him to the appointment because his stamina was at a low ebb. I expressed my displeasure at their lack of a clue. At least they managed to get their shit together and do the tests and procedure he’d been scheduled for. And this is at a supposedly world-class hospital. Morons doth vex me. ---
