# I'm rather upset about work. Someone reported me for drinking on the job.

Best wishes, Leaffan. I agree that your boss “confronting” you was probably just due diligence on his part, and if there were a serious problem in his mind, he’d have done something more.

I am shocked! Shocked that there is so much ethnic prejudice against Canadian traditional drinks on this Board. Clamato and beer, clamato in Caesars - when will the unceasing prejudice end?!?

I went through a couple of months of a coworker spreading rumors about me, and it was tough.

The wife had a great “it’ll only be worse if you worry about it” attitude. I’d walk through the door and she’d say “How was work… no, I don’t want to know. Shake it off.” And I’d pantomime a duck shaking, complete with wings (and sometimes a quack or two). It helped!

If only there’d been a Taylor Swift song back then, that I could’ve sung to myself…

The whole thing blew over, with 99% of the office never even thinking about it at the time or remembering it afterwards.
