# I'm reading Syd Field's book "Screenwritting"

Doing an exercise with his students they create a character on a nuclear contamination case. On page 83, he writes,“Can you imagine what would happen if an earthquake crumbled a nuclear power plant?” :eek: (this book was written in 1984 (revised in '05)

This was a particularly hot topic in the early eighties, with much being made of the Diablo Canyon reactor in California being relatively close to a fault line.
