Desert island is lovely, but it’s no place to get away from the desert and the heat. I suggest the deep wet woods of the Northwest. A place where the trees are older than the white man’s coming, and everything is green. ---

I’m in (I invite you to come over to Oz - theres some nice islands off the QLD coast I have an eye on myself) What do I have to offer: I can grow almost anything and have an extensive knoweledge of food plants. I can grind grain into flour and made bread from the results. I can fish. I can make fishing nets from scratch. I can make cheese and yogurt (and milk a cow for that matter - someone needs to bring a cow) I build a mighty fine fire. I have a bunny and two cats - none of which are worth gutting. The bunny produces high grade poo which grows fantastic veggies and fruit. The cats are good at vermin control. I read my \*side of the mountain \*too. ---

I’m kind of a prick really. People could use me as a rallying point to bring the others together. I am the one with the money though so I still get to control most things that I give a shit about which, frankly, isn’t much. I was tempted to ask that my team be composed of really attractive twenty-something females but I stopped myself because I learned what a fucking nightmare that would be to be trapped with a group of them for an extended period of time. I would like one grandmother type, a real hard-assed ex Navy Seal type, a dumb but hard working laborer, an event planner, and a really good storyteller in the group. A couple of exotic dancers isn’t a bad idea but it needs to be set up like Gilligan’s Island where outsiders come and go in a single episode otherwise it would be like finding yourself in paradise with only a couple of your current favorite CD’s to listen to forever. I am a perpetual flight student and I can fly small planes, just not all that well. If someone wanted me to take them somewhere, the chances are decent that we would get there and back Ok. ---

Just one big happy family, basking in the sun, eating seafood and fruit, playing with the pets, catching some rays, lolling in the hammock, collecting seashells and playing in the surf. Any volunteers to peel grapes and fan with palm fronds? What? Every family needs a few. ---
