I’m currently unemployed and sick of it, can I come? I can knit, sew and design simple clothing patterns and I am willing to learn to spin and weave. I can also cook a pretty good meal over an open fire and I also read My Side of the Mountain multiple times in my youth. I could use a change in direction and attitude. I also vote for central Washington State. Beautiful country. ---

I have a dog that kills rats in case we go someplace rat-infested. And I suppose I could come up with some rat recipes if we get _really_ hungry. ---

I have whole books on this subject and they are dog-eared. **Hide Your Assets and Disappear** is a good resource that covers this topic in depth but there are others. I will be in a great position to just move anywhere in the world I want in a few years. I just have to pick a place that is very flirty with foreign investment but also nice to live in and ideally fairly inexpensive. I watched a program on The Wealth Channel yesterday that profiled Malaysia as being great for this type of thing. They give ridiculous perks including domestic help and huge financial incentives for people willing to move their on a 10 year Visa and help their economy develop with skills or investment. Costa Rica is a long-time favorite among ex-pats as well. Hawaii is right out for a few reasons but mainly because the cost of living is so high. I have a few other picks as well. ---

When I get that itch to run, I just see what the [CouchSurfers](http://www.Couchsurfing.com) are up to. One day, I just said “I’m gonna go” and the next thing I knew, I was on some stranger’s couch in the heart of Barcelona with a hangover just strong enough to make you appreciate the night before, and an Easter Day parade passing under the balcony 10 feet away. That kinda what you’re looking for? But if you want us to make a literal Doperville, I can run, jump, climb, swim, or shoot. Plus I’ve always wanted to try to engineer contraptions that, say, get island water from here to there using just bamboo shoots. ---

I am quite adept at the fermentation arts. I can make all manner of delicious boozes. However, unless we are staying in the PNW I’m not leaving. It gets too hot everywhere else. ---

I’m in, I’ve got nothing else to do. I got lots of skills that may or may not be useful. Can we go to Cuba? It’s cheap, warm and apparently they have good health care. Also if I change my mind I can just build a raft and float back to the US, I’m sure I can get back home from there. ---

Wha…? A poster named **Sailboat** doesn’t have a boat for the tribe? I have a plane, and I can make beer. I can take 2 people (if they pack light) plus the beer making equipment. We’ll scout and find the island, and the rest of you can follow more slowly in the boat. We’ll try to have a good batch brewed for your landfall. We do have a boat, right? ---

I can’t run away. I already have. My wife and I did that eight years ago. We live fill time in a Class A motor home (that’s the kind that looks like a bus) and travel around the country. If a neighbor pisses us off or if we get too hot or too cold we just go somewhere else. ---
