Aaaah, the strange allure of the office/counter offerings…

In the office where I work, people will bring in everything from half-eaten cakes from their children’s birthday parties (complete with finger marks) to fresh baked breads, from stale long-since-homemade cookies to pounds of fresh zucchini. I work with people who will visit the mailroom several times a day only to see if there is anything available for the taking.

The truth of it is that if I put out a tray of kitty litter, it would be gone within a half an hour.
