Global Warming is a myth because **FX Mastermind** ’s apartment always stays at 68 degrees.

Changing the text in a quote box is actually against the rules here. I tell you this rather than hitting the report button.

Since a Mod is reading every post here, you would think they would let you know, but he’s too busy trolling to notice or something.

Priceless.

OK since it’s a troll thread now, I did report it. I didn’t realize a Mod had posted after you did.

Meanwhile, early global warming has seriously effected the US, including having to call out the National Guard in western NY

The media actually used “Insane” in the headline.

I miss the days when a warm winter with no snow was the headline. DAMN YOU GLOBAL WARMING!

For somebody’s sake, people, this has turned into a tragedy of monumental scope over the last fifteen (_15_) months! Someone direct some sustenance towards this poor bastard. He even seems to have lost his Gang of Four to disinterest.

Here, **FXMastermind**. I read somewhere that there’s some low-lying island nations that are losing significant portions of their countries to the rising seas and that those seas are rising because **GLOBAL WARMING** is melting glaciers and ice shelves and shit. I’ll see if I can find a cite for that so you can feed off it proper-like, but maybe that will do you for a while.

Thanks Miller, the irony was reaching critical mass here.

Remember, if you want to attribute something to somebody, that they never said, don’t use a quote box. Just lie in the regular manner, all the cool kids do it.

If you repeat a lie often enough, people will just believe it. You don’t even need any evidence. that’s how to fight ignorance.

> **It’s what I started the damn topic to talk about.**

Of course it was started in mundane shit or one of the other sub forums, but a Mod moved it here, so the trolls could feed, rather than allow a rational discussion of what many consider a very important issue.

But there was so much more, and being a pit thread actually worked out. GIGO bailed on the thread, after he was exposed for using an app, rather than responding to what people were discussing. That alone made it all worth it. App trolling, one of the most heinous tactics online.

> [@RaftPeople](#):
>
> I participated in one of them and it was overwhelmed with **GIGO** spewing a bunch of cut and paste stuff and name calling.

Yeah, but we learned why it always seemed he wasn’t actually responding, just cut and paste crap from SS

The main point was pretty easy to grasp, the intelligent got it right away.

> [@RaftPeople](#):
>
> But, FX’s point in this thread, that colder winters were not previously predicted but rather the opposite was predicted, is a reasonable data point to conclude that the climate scientists models are not reliable at this point.

There is so much more, but that just illustrates how easy the point is to get.

> [@RaftPeople](#):
>
> Do you realize that was in response to the poster stating that because Atlanta had a record hot day (or two or three or whatever) that it supported global warming? If there are record cold days, doesn’t that imply global cooling if we are using such simplistic metrics?

Another point, which for some reason bugs the alarmists fuckhead, like it’s unfair to turn the tables.

From previous posts, which will now appear as a wall of text and links and sciency shit.

[Feb polar view, 1992-2013](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=02&year1=1992&year2=2013&base1=1980&base2=2002&radius=1200&pol=pol), the period the papers are discussing, that show a cooling trend for large areas of the NH winter.

You can clearly see the colder regions, and it’s starting to look like they may be dominating the winters.

[The same for all winter](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=1203&year1=1992&year2=2013&base1=1980&base2=2002&radius=1200&pol=pol). The warmer pole and the colder mid latitude areas show up clearly. Note it isn’t just Siberia that shows a multi-decade trend. A lot of the US and Europe show up clearly.

[The period 2002-2013](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=1203&year1=2002&year2=2013&base1=200&base2=2012&radius=1200&pol=pol) shows it well.

This is what the research is about. is it an unexpected CO2 induced cooling? The sun? Something else completely? Something is happening, there is no doubt any longer.

Look at [the summer trend for the north pole](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=0603&year1=2002&year2=2013&base1=200&base2=2012&radius=1200&pol=pol).

Remember, these are all trends. TRENDS MOTHERFUCKERS!! TRENDS!

Look at [Alaska for the fall trend](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=0903&year1=2002&year2=2012&base1=2002&base2=2012&radius=1200&pol=pol). What the fuck?

That matches the Alaska trends from station data of course. How can that be? Isn’t Alaska warming?

[Look at the annual trend](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=1112&year1=2002&year2=2012&base1=2002&base2=2012&radius=1200&pol=pol). No, it is not warming.

In fact, the Bering sea ice trend has been going up, it’s actually reached an all time high for ice extent.

What a bitch.

[quote=“FXMastermind, post:967, topic:666440”]

Here’s some trends, that are in regard to the discussion here. All of them from GISS

WARNING! SCIENCE AHEAD! BITCH!

[NH winter since 1982](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=1203&year1=1982&year2=2013&base1=1951&base2=1980&radius=1200&pol=reg)

[Since 1992](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=1203&year1=1992&year2=2013&base1=1951&base2=1980&radius=1200&pol=reg)

[Since 2002](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=1203&year1=2002&year2=2013&base1=1951&base2=1980&radius=1200&pol=reg)

Those all use the 1951-1980 baseline. Now look at [the 2002-2013 winter trend](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=1203&year1=2002&year2=2013&base1=1982&base2=2012&radius=1200&pol=reg)using a current baseline, so you can see how it compares to the “warm period” baseline.

Ain’t that an eye opener? Suddenly that lack of global temperature rise might make sense. because look at [the summer trend.](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=0603&year1=2002&year2=2013&base1=1982&base2=2012&radius=1200&pol=reg)

You see any arctic warming there? Yes. But much more cooling.

Play with it yourself, do some fucking science. read a book.

But don’t try and pretend your idiot insults are going to change SCIENCE BITCHES!

A look at [the NH cold season](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=1106&year1=2002&year2=2013&base1=1982&base2=2012&radius=1200&pol=reg) is revealing. This is the period where global temperature anomalies show a slight decline.

Compare it with the [2002-2013 warm season](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=0506&year1=2002&year2=2013&base1=1982&base2=2012&radius=1200&pol=reg).

I hope the links work for you. And you can comprehend what the graphics are showing. (let me know if this shit ain’t working for you)

[This shows a polar view of 2002-2013](http://data.giss.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/gistemp/nmaps.cgi?year_last=2013&month_last=10&sat=4&sst=0&type=trends&mean_gen=02&year1=2002&year2=2013&base1=1980&base2=2002&radius=1200&pol=pol), you can clearly see the trend for the Siberian “cold pole”, as well as other areas that show a cooling trend.

Nobody ever said anything, probably cause they didn’t lift a finger to check, because alarmists know everything, they can’t learn anything.

Hell, if you actually read everything to reach this point, you are awesome. Or really bored, something.

You should be rewarded for your effort.

> [@Colibri](#):
>
> Troll is even too stupid to understand sarcasm.

Because it seems trolling is allowed, which is bullshit to me, I actually trolled Colibri by pretending not to understand sarcasm. That he took the bait, fabulous.

But like all things trolling, it’s useless, and nobody learns anything new.

Also it’s like shooting a fish in a barrel.

It’s fucking hilarious that his response was that I can’t recognize sarcasm, when my post was pure sarcasm. Irony.

I almost slapped another page of links from Sept 2013 in, but lets face it, science and data isn’t going to matter.

You can tell it’s old, cause it uses 2013 for the trends. Using another year of data, you can easily see the boreal winter trend using global land data.
[WFTs graph and data](http://woodfortrees.org/plot/rss-land/from:2000.9/every:12/plot/rss-land/from:2000/every:12/plot/rss-land/from:2000.08/every:12/plot/rss-land/from:2000/trend)

red is December, green is Jan, and blue is Feb

[Here is the boreal summer data](http://woodfortrees.org/plot/rss-land/from:2000.64/every:12/plot/rss-land/from:2000.56/every:12/plot/rss-land/from:2000.48/every:12/plot/rss-land/from:2000/trend)

red is Aug, green is July, blue is June
the warming is obvious, even as the trend goes down

The reason the trend goes down is the boreal winter, if winters were flat, not doing anything, the warming signal would be obvious, the annual data would still show global warming

The reason it does not, is the winters, which are trending much colder

A point either denied, or considered useless by alarmists, but of great interest to climate scientist. Why is this happening?

You might even really believe the Science! part is trolling, because you don’t understand it. It’s OK, not everyone went to Uni, or studies this shit.

See? The monkey can’t understand, and you combine that with actually being uneducated, uninformed and brain washed by the constant global warming fear tactics, it’s understandable that your response is like a youtube “herp derp”, so don’t stop being you.

Most of the current sea level rise is from thermal expansion the oceans. Glaciers and ice caps melting is a very small part, but yes, sea levels are rising some places, and it’s one of the most serious issues regarding climate change.

The Maldives are an example of low islands at risk. You can tell how worried people are about it,[by looking at the new expensive resorts being built there](http://www.comohotels.com/2014-new-openings#Maldives).

etc etc

This is how we know sea level is a real problem. Like how all the wealthy people with ocean homes are all selling them, because they are worried about the ocean rising.

So how’s that been working out for you in this thread?

There is no doubt, none at all, that we, meaning human kind, have unbalanced the CO2 levels, putting more CO2 in the atmosphere as volcanoes would have done, but we did it in 200 years, where natural sources took maybe 5000 years to put out that much carbon. The exact number don’t matter, it’s the huge change that we are concerned with. Physics says this will cause changes, land use (deforestation and agriculture), damning up all the worlds large rivers, along with ozone changes, and the other greenhouse gases, methane, NO2, CfCs, and cement making, we have changed the nature of the atmosphere.

Now some might deny that, but they are delusional. Some also question the theory, which is valid, as it is a hypothesis in the sense of the predicted changes. But the amounts of CO2, and the land use changes, there is a very high probability this is going to cause grief somehow. But, it’s not known how, and how fast.

> I fucking hate cold winters, hence the thread.

It’s obvious that some people think saying “it’s fucking cold, and I blame global warming” is some sort of a troll. The problem with this, is that exact sentiment, even as a scientific theory, is actually presented in both science journals, and of course the media. If I say it, it sounds crazy, until you realize it’s being claimed by a lot of people, and yes, the record fucking cold is being blamed on GLOBAL WARMING.

(no, I am not going to [link yet again](http://phys.org/news/2014-05-climate-scientist-extremely-cold-winter.html) to the [stories like that](http://www.salon.com/2014/01/07/this_freezing_weather_could_be_a_sign_of_global_warming_newscred/))

The actual scientist are being cautious about jumping ship, and riding the bandwagon of “global warming making winters colder”, but that never stopped the media, or idiot bloggers from trumpeting it as gospel.

I mostly ignored the troll thread where he tried to demand I discuss what he thinks of as “Climategate”, because you should never feed a troll, it makes them stick around.

The emails are a goldmine of data, information, and a look into things we usually never ever get to see. How actual scientists communicate, the issues they wrestle with, and how mad they were over bloggers and people asking them for the data, so they could check for themselves. (granted after they refused to answer honestly, the demands reached a level that could be called harassment)

But what I found so amazing, was the information, things you would never see in the finished papers. And the obvious bias exhibited, which everybody fucking knows is there, which is why peer review and replication is vital. Climategate wasn’t, IMNSHO, about dirty tricks, as much as it was about how science actually is done. And of course that priceless Trenberth email, where in a very human moment, he complained about the cold, and wondered where the global arming was.

(it was Oct 2009, and [it was really fucking cold where he was](http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cag/time-series/us/05/00/tmin/1/10/1980-2014?base_prd=true&firstbaseyear=1901&lastbaseyear=2000). No, [seriously it was](http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cag/time-series/us/05/00/tmax/1/10/1980-2014?base_prd=true&firstbaseyear=1901&lastbaseyear=2000).)

But fuck, you can’t discuss any of this shit online, it’s too political, and I fucking hate politics. The bane of science, the curse for anyone with intelligence.
