And here in Southern California, temps are in the high 80’s/low 90’s, with possibly the driest winter on record and nary a rainstorm in sight. ---

We were in the same boat last week … now we’ve flood watches and warnings everywhere. The problems for SoCal is the lack of snowpack in the High Sierras. If history is any example, you may well have to wait until Fall of 2015 to get back to average rainfall. I lived in California during the drought of 1976 through 1978, we were looking at _major_ problems but the rains did return. Unfortunately nothing was done to mitigate this recurring cycle, so things are going to get bad there this time I think. I’ll keep my fingers crossed this “atmospheric river” that’s dumping on us right now swings south for you. Moonbeam is going to have a tough time getting those aqueducts built under the Delta, and it’ll take a military invasion to get at the Columbia River water. Time to start investing in desalinzationing plants. ---

Another thing I’ve noticed is the complete lack of testimonials. I get the impression that these warmists, or carbon dioxidists, are just a bunch of fat, lazy, blow through 1,000s of kW-hrs and 100s of gallons of gas every month just so they can bitch us out for wreaking the environment. Have any of them ever said they ride a bike to work, use LED light bulbs, compost and recycle … no, they don’t … they just sit at their computer filling their faces with potato chips, ho-hos and coke all paid for with food stamps. They’re not liberal, they’re lazy dumb-asses. I’m reading one of John Houghton’s books right now … holy fucking shit … this is complicated. One thing I noticed is the tensor algebra stops as soon as he starts to address climate change … I find that funny. ---

Well also you don’t see a serious push in warmist circles for widespread adoption of nuclear power. Or to end third-world immigration to the West (more Americans = more CO2 emissions). No, it’s about making vague and nonsensical statements so that they can pretend to be morally and intellectually superior. ---
