I'm sick of this Global Warming!

And oh yeah, the trend since 2002, for the global mean, is - .02C

And that is from GISS, the dataset that always shows the most warming

Please give me three specific examples.

Also, please let me know what you mean by “global warming” – is it simply the claim that global surface temperatures have been increasing? Or something more?

We’re expecting two to four inches of snow today.

Which conclusively proves that March sucks.

Can you give a location? You could be talking about almost anywhere in the NH hemisphere.

Except the parts that are abnormally warm. Which is most of it.

You don’t know how to check. Now it’s all making sense.

Let me educate you. When it’s “warm” in Khatanga right now, it means instead of -30C, it’s only -24C

See? The anomaly shows “drastic warming”. Same for Ust Ilimsk or Magadan, where it’s drastic warming going on. So it’s only -21C right now, instead of the “normal” -30C

It’s why just looking at “the anomaly” doesn’t tell you much about what is going on, in the real world.

It’s cold enough to snow in most of the NH (that usually gets snow this time of year), except where it’s too cold to snow.

I hope you’re good looking. Because being ugly with your brains and personality would be a cross to bear.

It must suck being a pseudo scientists, so much you can’t follow when the adults are talking.

if you look at March 28th, you can see the horrific global warming at work.

Instead of the “normal” -4 F, it was 14 F

Ignore the rest of the month, just focus on that one day. Be afraid.

FX, why do the vast majority of climate scientists think that humans are contributing to the world’s warming?

Because we are. Man, are you really that stupid?

In other news

I’d like to think I’m not stupid. It may seem like that to you, because you’re a profoundly inept communicator.

To follow up, you believe humanity is contributing to the warming of the planet, do you think that will be a good think or a bad thing?

Maybe I can clear this up. Note that there is more to the climate system that the atmosphere- there are the oceans, the land and… the ice.

It requires 334 joules of heat to turn a gram of ice into a gram of water. So, in a situation in which global atmospheric temperatures are flat while millions of cubic meters of polar ice are melting, we are witnessing global warming. There is more energy in the system, but it gets absorbed melting all that ice instead of increasing the temperature. Once the ice is gone I expect temperatures to go up (unless all the extra energy goes somewhere else.)

Here is a quick explanation of how carbon dioxide causes global warming.

Don’t read Forbes, it is unreliable if not intentionally misleading.

THIS made my day. But let’s give you the benefit of the very strong doubt and assume there is truth in the first part of your statement. Even then, www Have

You think, therefore you are.

FX, Brazil,

Yes or No:

Has man contributed to the warming of the earth?

Reading is hard.

It’s not that simple of a question to me. Especially since at present we are seeing this asymmetric change, which doesn’t quite match anything I can find in the scant historic records of the global temperatures. Is it a measurement problem? Or is the global mean changing in some novel way? What exactly is the cause of the arctic warming? I don’t claim to know, that would be hubris in the extreme.

It’s like asking if man contributed to the little ice age. Or the warming that followed the little ice age. Or asking if air pollution caused the thirty year cooling trend that preceded the thirty year warming trend which changed around 2002.

Or the NH winter cooling trend, which goes back to the eighties in some areas. Is it human activities or not? How much is from human beings? And is it extreme assumptions to even think we are controlling the global temperatures?

Can we even do that? (it would be nice if we could, no more uncertainty about climate change)

To be able to know, from looking at the data, that is essential, it’s absolutely crucial. If there is an fucking around with the data ta all, it makes it almost impossible to be scientific about it.

And back to the simple question. Do I think mankind has influenced the pacific ocean? Can we assign a percentage to mankind of the changes to the Pacific ocean? That’s a huge huge thing to claim, and almost impossible to prove.

Look at the winter trend.

if I say mankind contributed to the changes in the Pacific, it is saying we both caused this anomaly in the north pacific, as well as a cooling of the El Nino region. How can we assign that to CO2 changes? The theory does not predict such a change. This doesn’t mean it can’t happen, we just don’t have a mechanism to explain it.

Look at the annual trend.

That isn’t a prediction of rising CO2 levels.

Take it back farther. Then compare with a warming period/.

See the warming of the Pacific.

We should still be seeing something like that.

It’s not some simple thing. Just saying “man is fucking things up” doesn’t actually explain anything.

Coherent, as always.

Let’s just remember, of the two of us, I can intellectually explain my stance on same sex marriage. You stumble and stutter and talk about how dictionary definitions are more important than human suffering.

:rolleyes:You’re so pathetic. It’s interesting that you feel you have to lie to try to score points. Not only that, you need to lie about a completely unrelated discussion (and not the first time, I might add).:rolleyes:

Not at all. I’ve accurately described your stance on same sex marriage. You are simply a piece of shit bigot that fumbles ineptly to find something that sounds like a logical argument.

It’s a perfect example of how you’re driven by emotional hate and not reason or intellect.
