Hell, in 2014 there were ten days at 84F there. 18 days were above 80. It was a warm February, 2014.
In 2015 there were 6 days above 80 And only two really warm days. It was actually a fucking cold month this year. Miserable.
So when it’s 41 in Opa-locka, that’s 21 degrees below average. When it’s 87, that’s 11 above average. Guess which one is unusual?
But like with a US Senator, facts aren’t the important thing. The difference is, as a TIME editor, we expect you to be right. Nobody is really surprised by a US Senator being dumb.

I’m sure there are people who don’t believe an increase in CO2 will cause an enhanced greenhouse effect, and this will probably do little to change their minds, but who cares? This is exactly the sort of science that needs to be done at many locations, all the time.
