I hate when people talk about themselves in the third person. Whatever. I see you are still pulling your usual shtick of muddying the waters with climate change. Not making any points, just spewing out garbage in the hope of… doing what exactly? I think it is really cool that you have mastered the NASA data portal and I have to thank you for that wood for trees website link, pretty cool (I did click your links). But you posting over and over again that February and New Hampshire are getting colder does not prove anything to me. Cherry picking this little regions or limited time scales does not accurately reflect the global trend anymore than me pointing at temperature in the middle of an urban heat island.
But you know this. It is clear you know a lot about this topic for a layperson. What I don’t get is what your point is. You are not trying to disprove ACC or global warming. Or if you are, you are very ineffective at it. I don’t think you are trying to point out wrong thinking and exaggeration in the popular media. Again, your shots are too scattered and too few of them are on point for that to be your goal. I can only assume that you are deliberately trying to confuse everyone. This again makes me think you are a paid shill of the petroleum industry but I can’t imagine them paying you for you inept work. So what is your goal? What are you trying to accomplish? What is it you are trying to communicate to us? What is the point of this thread?
So far the only thing I am getting is you want everybody to think you are smart and you have made pretty much everybody think you are an asshole. Your contributions in other places on the board have been more pointed. The clock guy thread for instance, I thought your point came across loud and clear and I, for one, appreciated it. This thread though, I just am not seeing anything constructive.

As Cohen says in multiple papers, both theory and models based on theory can not predict, or explain, what is being observed. In fact, the exact opposite should be happening.
The larger point is a bit harder to grasp, but it’s the important one. Since I’ve stated it clearly a dozen times now, it’s no mystery what that point is.

I’ve posted this before, but his posting style is eerily reminiscent of the posting style of bloggers who have bipolar disorder. He’s been ramping up in his hypomania, which means in a few weeks he’ll crash into depression and the posts will slow to a trickle. I bet if someone was to chart his posts per day we’d see a gradual ramp up to a peak, followed by a plateau, followed by a crash. He’s starting to resurrect years-old posts to respond to them, so we’re pretty clearly in peak hypomania now.
From what I’ve read, there’s two types of Bipolar disorder: I and II. I think we’re looking at Bipolar II here; we’ll see hyopmania phases followed by severe depression, but no hallucinations or psychotic breaks.
I’m no psychologist, so I could be completely wrong, but his behavior matches what I’ve seen elsewhere. If, in a few weeks or months, he basically stops posting, that’ll strengthen my opinion that he’s bipolar.
And weaken my opinion that there is no God.

For the slow kids, when you see something like the following, with “old” quotes, it’s not some random walk into the past.
It’s even worse than that. Because most of the alarmist sources are actually really fucked up, when it comes to teaching the science of AGW, or even precipitation and snow, as well as how wrong the media portrays things, fed by people who should know better, it’s really hard for a fuckhead to actually know science.
But not in this topic, oh no.
If that were true, that I was engaging in deliberate distortions, trying to fool you, just posting shit that just is not true, it would indeed be trolling, and a rather idiotic way to discuss the most important subject facing mankind.
If the worst case scenarios for global climate change, due to human pollution and other changes to the world, if those scenarios are true, if they happen, it will be a planet wide disaster. This is the true global warming story.
Not only will our offspring suffer, the entire ecosystem will suffer, and mass extinctions, including corals, will equal the worst extinction events we know of from the fossil records. According to Hansen and others, the world will be as it was in the age of the Dinosaurs, with tropical plants growing in Antarctica, thick tropical forests all the way to the arctic ocean, the sea level will be 300 feet higher, and this will last for millions of years. The few surviving humans will live near the poles to escape the horrific heat, and the few animals that survive will be hunted to extinction for food.
As more and more methane is released from all the permafrost and undersea deposits, the planet becomes like Venus, and all life ends, except around the deep sea vents.
Game over. That’s AGW, that’s global warming.

Certainly the US did not warm 3 to 4 degrees Celsius since 1986, in fact, the high quality data from the new climate network shows it has cooled. Does this extreme wrong cause anyone to slow down, pause and reflect on the current crop of predictions?
