# I'm SO sick of hearing "Trump voters are not bad people...we need to empathize with them". The old"talk show host"thing could better describe Democrats, don’t you think, since they seem to have more media support. But you’re right, too many people are letting the talking heads determine their opinions. I don’t get my news from Salon,Fox, or any other biased outlet. I’m not afraid of who is in the public bathroom, if someone wants an abortion, that’s their business, I don’t care who marries whom, I’m not afraid of anyone coming over the border. Neither am I naive enough to believe that one candidate is good, and the other evil. Trump is ringing in the death knell of the Republican party. What will happen then? We will all find out together. ---

Wasn’t suggesting that they might be the same person, just the same personality type. Kind of guy who wants to think of himself as a hard-headed, hard-nosed realist, going to give some straight talk to the wooly-thinking lefties and liberals. Way, way back, when I was but a young lad studying for admission to the penitentiary…I was very conservative, and I liked reading that tone of world weary contempt. Eventually, I got tired of losing arguments and became a lefty. Reminds of Jerry Lee Lewis, saying about how Jimmy Swaggart was his cousin and was urging him to a career in the evangelist preacher mode. Jerry Lee gave up on that after noticing that the Devil had all the good music. Anyway, yeah, they pop up ever now and again, and they are so similar it is almost as though they were the same person. They all seem to expect us to be stunned and astonished at their plain ol’ common sense. After a while, their hopes are dashed, and they wander away. In my time of walking to and fro upon the world, I’ve met very few actual cynics. But I’ve never met one yet who didn’t think of himself as a hard-headed, no-nonsense, realist. And so it goes. ---
