A twisted braincap on legs? I see a network cartoon here.

Since it seems like you mean it, I’ll make another effort. You, not I, chose to let the hate genie out of its bottle.

In a long-ago thread, you brought up a splendid Hebrew term that I wish you’d share here again. The term referred to “repairing the world.” It’s something I try to do every day of my life, here at the boards and actively as well. If you wish for your apology to mean anything to me, please reflect long and hard on how your comments about me reconcile with what you know of “repairing the world.”

I still have some difficulty in comprehending why you waited the better part of **three years** to finally make any mention to me of your mean-spirited drivel. Have you now noticed just how difficult it is to stuff all those icky nasty worms back into that itty-bitty little can? That’s what I’m having a problem with.

**Rilchiam** , I’m glad to see someone else here has mastered that complex modern appurtenance known as the “scroll button.”

**jarbabyj** , my entire reply was a lot more necessary than your snarky little drive-bys. Ditto, **Francesca**. We’ll wait until your tit’s in the wringer to see how you squeal.

**BNB** , I’m glad that somebody here understands why I felt a full rebuttal was in order.

**Spiritus Mundi** , you are another of my all-time favorite posters. The only possible way I could _ever_ accept a whisky (my favorite sippin’ stuff) from you is if you let me buy the very next round. I truly appreciate you taking the time to fully assay such phenomenal venom as found in this thread. That you had the patience to wade through this entire tripe volcano bespeaks an admirable degree of intestinal fortitude upon your own part.

I stand corrected. But I don’t think it materially changes any of my points (other than on the one where I listed who had mentioned his real life personality prior to me).

since you used that (“Others posted about things they knew of him IRL”) as partial justification for your attack, I would hope you’d be able to see why I don’t agree, and was not happy about being used in that manner, especially since you were incorrect.

and since it’s taken several pages for you to even acknowledge your error (with a ‘I stand corrected’), after others had pointed it out before etc, hopefully you’ll also understand when I remain unimpressed.

frankly ‘oops, sorry’ would have been quite a bit better. wasn’t there a thread on non-apologies recently?

judging from the way you act when you feel like you’re attacked I’m really surprised by this, you appear to be quite a bitter and hypocritcal person if you can’t see why \*\* Zenster felt the need to do that.

I feel really bad about this thread. I had actually forgotten that I had written it on Friday night. It’s no excuse, but I was a bit pissed when I got home.

I do apologise to **Zenster** for my nasty comments, and for starting this thread. I think it was pretty uncalled for, and doesn’t reflect well on me. While you may have a tendency to be stubborn, and firm in your beliefs, this doesn’t make you a fuckwit.

If **Zenster** doesn’t mind, I’d like to request that it be closed.

Cheers.

wring,

I wasn’t trying to apologize, so I would hardly call it a non-apology. I was just accepting what you said at face value since it matters very little. Even though I would still say you mentioned what you think Zenster is like in real life, it may be based solely on guesses, but it was still about what he, as a person, is like and is doing.

But it doesn’t really matter. So I wasn’t going to contest it.

But I certainly wasn’t apologizing.

And I have yet to attack Zenster in this thread. Others have, I haven’t. All I’ve said is that I don’t like him, if that is an attack, then it is a sadly over-sensitized world in which you live. I fully accept that he may be the greatest guy in the world, and that I am a lone troglodyte for not seeing it.

I still don’t like him. I’ve not tried to justify it. I’ve not attempted to give reasons.

[QUOTE]

\*\*The point being made is about what sort of person I am. At first the thread concerned my presence at this board but others have seen fit to take it well beyond that. This is going to be a long post, so please buckle up for the ride.

Because of the kindness shown by so many fellow board members, I most definitely will respond to this particular Pit thread. I am so late in posting because I’ve spent the entire weekend helping with a fundraiser for one of the largest Burning Man encampments. I cannot express in words how wonderful it was to be around these people. All of them are utterly transparent and open with everyone else. There are no mind games and ill feelings, fights or violence are not even an applicable concept.

Saturday night’s party was a huge success and I’m waiting to see how much money we raised for the Burning Man installation. Yeah, the music was Techno (not my favorite) but I would just about listen to Rap (not really) in order to be around people like them. I’ll give you an idea of what sort of folks these are. Somewhere around six o’clock in the morning, someone borrowed my gold Cross pen for the umpteenth time and I was too exhausted to get it back from them.

I discovered the loss in the morning and fretted mildly about it on the way back to San Francisco for today’s site cleanup. I was confident that a simple group email would suffice to track it down. As an aside, a few blocks away from the party’s location I saw something that lifted my spirits all day. Forty people were in a business plaza’s courtyard doing some fine and well-synchronized jazz dance. I am unable to explain why it was so intensely beautiful to see all these people joyously performing their art. I could only think of the previous night’s party and all of the excellent artists who were there then.

With misplacing my gold pen still nibbling around the edges of my mind, I walked into the party site and PRESTO! there was my pen, laying out on the bar, where I had done a few shifts the night before. This was the caliber of people I spent the entire weekend with. I cannot adequately explain to you the profound joy of being around so few mind games and head-trips. Such garbage mentality was literally non-existent and the harmonious atmosphere was incredibly nourishing, refreshing and uplifting to my spirit and soul.

Time for the old mail sack:

Thank you for providing a warning of the great epic to come. It has answered a old question of mine. I have often wondered about the old “netiquette” idea that you shouldn’t quote an entire long post, just to add a few words here and there.

Well, since we know you are an upstanding guy, I can only assume that quoting and entire thread, means that quoting a long post to just add a few words is kosher.

And thus I’ll begin.

This is a good one. Things are starting to get exciting. But I would point out a better answer from Kyla on JuanitaTech’s question would have been.

“We’ll see when it has happens. Such hypotheticals are for the academics among us.”

The humor you’re exhibiting is well targeted for the _Reader’s Digest_ audience. I suggest you submit something for their “Laughter’s the Best Medicine” column.

However, I can’t help but notice that you react in a strong negative way to everybody in this thread who said something negative about you. Except for the moderator. I guess the urge to kiss his ass was just too strong to overcome.

Bubba:

On behalf of my friend, Zenster, I want to tell you what a GIANT human being you are for posting your apology.

However, as a HUMAN BEING, you/we need to learn a valuable lesson: Never send e-mail that you write when you are pissed off or angry. (When I am angry, I write it in draft and wait 24 hours…then I usually have sobered up enough to not send it!!)

You have been responsible for some of the most vile things I have ever seen in writing–anywhere. But then again, you have been responsible for some of the kindest things said about someone one does not know IRL.

Let this be a lesson to all of us: One of us–you-- may be next.

Zenster, let him close the thread and go about your wonderful life. Please?

Mahalo Nui Loa to all.

The quality of this one slipped a bit. Mostly more tongue lashings. But I am surprised that you wasted your demand of an apology from voguevixen by demanding an apology for something she quite clearly did not do.

At no point did she accuse you of stalking her.
