Wisdom, WTF, have you people forgotten the name of this forum? It is the “Pit.” Perhaps you would like for it to be the “community of sensitive and respectful people forum” but it fucking isn’t. ---

Thanks to all o’ y’all who enjoyed and appreciated what I wrote. It was from the heart, certainly. Dude, if you aren’t capable of distinguishing between the idle slagging that normally happens in the Pit and a sincerely meant message intended to have broader repercussions, then you are free to take a hike. Why you think you can derail this with a little irresponsible chain-pulling is a mystery, unless— gasp— you’re one of the personal-playground people I was describing above. And really, I don’t particularly care which it is, either. Catch my drift? ---

Y’know, it occurs to me that one of the things that would help software fool the Turing test would be its ability to insult you creatively. And annoy you, due to its inability to see beyond its own viewpoint. Admittedly, that’s kind of a hallmark on message boards. ALL you people are just text on a screen, to me. I have no doubt that you’re as real as it comes, out there on YOUR end of the Big Connection, but all I have here is the words. And the pictures, occasionally, when I go and pester OpalCat. Pictures help towards envisioning you as people, as opposed to disembodied viewpoints, or mental cartoon characters based on weirdy-assed usernames. On the other hand, given that, I find it hard to pit \*\*Ilsa \*\* for bein’ guilty of the same thing. The only other thing I can add is this: being annoying isn’t necessarily THAT big an impediment… although if you MUST be annoying, be CREATIVE about it. Be annoying amusingly, creatively… hell, impressively. Even a garden variety flame war is more interesting when the combatants are witty wordsmiths, as opposed to dullards who just wanna tell you 2 go f\*k URself 3 ways, you know? 😃 ---
