It would be really weird to have a forum this size without any other chicks on it taking Middle Eastern. C’mon people! Anyone else out there? Incidentally, I usually go to goth clubs because it’s the only type I’ve found that you can bellydance at (or really do any kind of dance. No limits) without getting harrassed. ---

Well, **Zyada** is a belly dancer; I know that. I used to date a girl in Wichita Falls who danced, too - she even came to an SDMB party despite not ever having laid eyes on our board - but she has since moved back to Maryland. ---

Yay! Another one! What type do you do? I do classical egyptian (3 hours of dance class today, hooray! I’ll be sore tomorrow. ) I’d like to take Moroccan and Lebanese, but I understand they’re not as isolated, and more bouncy, hm. Saiidi is fun. Do you have zylls? As I’m not a performer, I don’t have any full cabaret outfits yet, but I do wear my coin belt and circle skirt out to clubs, just to dance in. I’ve found that after three years I can’t do regular modern dancing anymore, I only bellydance… it’s a totally different way of moving, and it’s impossible to stop.
