What are you bringing? I’ve got a pretty big cooler for you guys to stuff full. I’ve already got some shrimp ceviche cocktail and cold beer (your favorite!). We’ll be listening to some live music on the grass - what are you going to bring along? ---

Deviled eggs stuffed with baby shrimp and horseradish and some of my mother’s recipe potato salad. Can’t trust you people to bring _good_ beer, so some of that too. My contribution to the music will be to sit quietly and applaud loudly. ---

Even more beer, plus maybe a couple of Subway sandwiches. I am not a picnic person and don’t really enjoy sitting outside with mosquitoes, gnats, bees, ants, poison ivy, humidity etc. and trying to eat anything that cannot fit in one hand and be eaten as I dash to the car when it starts to pour rain. ---

I’ve got some lovely fruit skewers with a spritzer bottle of balsamic vinegar. I may even bring an angel food cake to go with them. And some Diet Pepsi. ---

I like beer, but, for me, a crisp, dry rosé is the proper picnic quaff. I’ll also bring some sandwiches–a nice muffaletta. ---
