I work with stuff that can burn through my skin, _and_ poison me. Hydrochloric acid is a bitch. As are all other types of acid. I also have to make sure that I don’t accidentally mix the wrong things, or we get an explosion, or a cloud of toxic vapour, or something else equally unpleasant. And I have to pay for it! Being a chemistry student can suck somethimes. ---

C’mon up **Tuckerfan**. Rather than the real deal where a floor may be ready to give way, we’ll give you a go in the burn building. Put on the gear, put on the SCBA, and crawl the hall. Oops, forgot-you have to drag a 1 3/4" water line with you while searching for someone who may or may not be there. Watch your air supply-when the pack alarm rings, you have 5 minutes to find your way back out. Last but not least-you get paid. Silly me-still doing it for free after 30+ years. 😉 ---
