# I'm the target of debit card fraud/scam

Muggers must love you, in addition to the people who install false fronts on ATMs.

That’s exactly what I do. It’s used only at the issuing bank when I need cash. I will use my credit cards online or in stores, but never my debit card .

Muggings are practically non-existent in my part of the world, so what muggers do or don’t love is of little concern. Credit and debit card skimmers have been in the news quite a lot, however.
