I'm tired of Millennials hogging the '90s nostalgia

I don’t think it’s just because not enough time has passed, I think it’s because things just haven’t changed that much. I think the difference from 80s - 2000s was MUCH bigger than 90s - 2010s. Many examples I can give, but to name a few - if I look back at pictures from the 80s, all of my teachers/older women are in dresses with those fluffy tie “librarian” shirts; or pants suits in bright colors; pictures from mid-90s forward look pretty much like today.

I grew up in the 90s and I have to strongly disagree with you. To me, it feels like there’s more difference between 1995 and 2015 than in any 20 year period you care to name. Everything is different, from DJ so-and-so to computers to social media to comic book movies to literally everything in popular memory, except that by the 90s we mostly had photography figured out so the pictures of the era don’t look washed out and terrible.
