I caught 2 bluegills, and both had severe cases of eye disease. Their eyes were too close to their assholes. ---

Back from Lowes - with a new shovel, a cherry tree, a new sprinkler, and a bunch of ground cover, plus a bag of wildflower seeds. Shortly, I’ll change into grubbies and start playing in dirt. I wanted to get more of the knockout roses, but they were all gone. Bummer. I’ve got 5 different kinds of ground cover, including what I bought last week. I’m thinking I’ll use rocks to separate the areas where I’ll put them. Goodness knows, I’ve got hunks of granite - the previous owners made beds all over the place, then pretty much neglected them, so I’ve got lots to dig up. Azalea root balls are relatively shallow. The biggest shrub we moved, which was big enough that it took both of us to do it, wasn’t even a foot deep. The smaller ones were a few inches. Which reminds me - I need to feed the ones I transplanted and set the sprinkler. First, I’ll move 2 more small shrubs to that grouping, then feed and water them all while I deal with the rest of my plantings. I wish I was twins, or triplets - I’d get more done! ---

Happy Sunday! Its 15 degrees above freezing but it looks nice and sunny outside. It’s kind of chilly but I opened my window anyway. Sah-dog has a blurf. Poor thing. Sometimes I can sneak past him if I’m just making a quick trip across the hall. Not this morning. So he’s standing there waiting for me, and his eyes are half closed and he’s wobbling ever so slightly until he’s leaning against the wall. Taxes will get printed out and mailed today. My tax info hasn’t come in the mail. I’m dead worried. Other than that, things are going all right. Wish I could make the trip out to the McGill music library. They have some sheet music there that I’ve been seeking. Gotta love Baroque quarter-tones. ---

We used them, we called them wash cloths. Now it’s a whole different product. Thankfully the affair was in a restaurant/brewpub. So there was Guinness. ---

It’s too pretty of a day for me to be in a pissy mood already. The HFH saturates her bedroom with some floral shit spray and then leaves her door open so the whole house reeks of it. No wonder her dogs are sick all the time. Then the TOAD saturates the downstairs bathroom with some kind of crisp linen shit spray so I am being assaulted from both sides. My stomach is churning, my head hurts. I opened my window and turned on the attic fan. ---

More questionable weather- it’s not actualy raining, but it looks like it’s going to start any minute… However, it does seem summer might be on the way at some point, I saw my first (barn) swallow of the year when I was out doing some gardening 🙂 Overslept (again), and cleared out the car, ready for it to go get its check up on tuesday- I can only park opposite the house on weekends, if you’re wondering why I’m being organised for once. I suppose it’s just a hazard of having hair long enough to sit on, but it looks like there’s some kind of hair-beast living in there. I suppose I’ve not really cleaned it out enough recently… I probably should vacuum it out tomorrow. ---
