**FCM** , in a show of support, I too didn’t get the original joke nor knew what a Radiohead was. I refuse to be old so I’m thinking Hal was being obscure on purpose. Yeah, that’s it. ---

You don’t have to prove yourself to us. Too bad you were left high and dry, but don’t sulk; it could’ve been worse… your in-laws could’ve been excessively a_muse_d by your pun, thus leading you to write off their sense of humor as derivative and unoriginal\*. - Just for the record, that would’ve been most unfair to them. ---

I was at the dentist years ago, getting drilled for a filling at a super-early appointment - 7:30am, I think. As always, the drill was whiny and shrill and the smell of burnt tooth stuff wafted up into the air… …there was a break in the action, so I paused and with my novocaine-dulled mouth, I will still able to clearly articulate the following: > [@](#): > > I love the smell of burnt enamel in the morning.
